Quick Start

This guide takes you from sign-in to discovering and running your first micro app in the Aelrox desktop app. No programming is required.

Before you begin

You need:

• an Aelrox account you can sign in to;
• the latest Aelrox desktop app;
• a network connection that can reach the Aelrox community.

If the desktop app is not installed, start with the Desktop App Guide.

1. Sign in to the community

Open the Aelrox community and choose a sign-in method. After verification, your avatar, name, and account status appear at the lower left of the page.

When the desktop app needs authentication, it opens your browser. Confirm the domain and account before allowing the browser to return to Aelrox.

2. Discover a micro app

Open Discover and browse by recommendation, category, or keyword. Before using an app, check:

• whether its purpose and creator are clear;
• whether the current version matches your needs;
• which permissions it may request;
• whether it contains suspicious claims, instructions, or external links.

3. Open it in Aelrox

Select “Open in Aelrox” on the detail page. Your browser may ask for permission to launch Aelrox; approve only after confirming the source.

On first run:

1. Read every permission explanation shown by the desktop app.
2. Allow only capabilities required for the task.
3. If a request is unclear, cancel and read Micro-App Safety & Permissions.
4. Confirm that the result matches the detail-page description.

4. Create with AI Builder

Open AI Builder and describe the goal, inputs, outputs, and intended use in plain language. Preview and test the result before saving or submitting it.

Completion checklist

Your basic setup is ready when you can:

• sign in to both the community and desktop app;
• open a micro app from Discover;
• understand and respond to permission prompts;
• create and preview a draft in Builder.
