You need nine separate pieces of one picture, with consistent dimensions and a clear way to put them back in order. Cropping each piece manually makes small alignment mistakes easy.
Grid Studio's Split mode divides one composition into a grid and exports the pieces together in a ZIP. The source image, crop and ordering settings determine the result; the app does not publish the pieces to a social account.
Set up a nine-tile composition
Open Grid Studio in Aelrox, select Split, and choose ＋ Add photo. Use a PNG, JPEG or WebP image. Select the 3 × 3 preset and Square · 1:1 for Tile shape.
For a reproducible starting point, Try demo loads an 1800 × 1800 illustration. Our example uses that built-in artwork, the default crop, no tile border and a 1080-pixel tile width.
Check the composition before splitting
Fill — crop to grid covers the grid but can remove part of an image whose shape differs from the complete composition. Fit — keep full image retains the full picture and can leave background space.
Drag the image to reposition it and adjust Zoom. Pay attention to faces, text and other important details near the grid lines. The guides and numbered badges are preview aids; they are not printed on the exported tiles.
Tile border adds space around each piece. Leave it at zero when you want the pieces to meet without an intentional border. A grid split is not a promise that a social platform will display those pieces without additional cropping.
Export the pieces and verify the ZIP
Choose PNG · lossless and 1080 px under Tile width, then select Export all · ZIP ↓. Open the downloaded archive and inspect its contents.
Our export contained nine PNG files, each exactly 1080 × 1080 pixels, plus POSTING-GUIDE.txt. Here is the top-left piece from that export:

Separate reading order from posting order
With Reverse posting order enabled, the example filenames include:

The post number suggests an upload sequence for a feed that places newer posts first. Row and column identify the piece's actual position. Check the destination's current crop and ordering before uploading: pinned posts, profile layouts and platform changes can alter the arrangement.
To export just one piece, use Individual tile · reading order and Save selected tile. This selector describes its row and column, not the reversed upload sequence.
Choose Grid Studio when the task is one image into multiple files. For several photos combined into one image, use its Collage mode instead.
